hi we ride at acrecliffe and we have ridden shandy you may not of heard about shandy but you probably have we are 10 years old and we will miss her.

Yes, we do know that Shandy became very ill and had to be put to sleep a few weeks ago. If you click on our news button you'll find a news item all about her and lots of pictures in the photo gallery. She was a lovely pony who taught lots of people to ride. We all miss her very much.

Its a great web page, and really informational and well put together.
And I would also like to say, thank you to everyone involved from the Otley team at Hartpury 2006, from instructors Elaine,Anne, to all the helpers and stable lasses and Nikki, as everyone worked so hard to organize what needed doing and did a fantastic job of it too, and also to Georgina and Lynne, who brought me abit back up to scratch with the horse care test at short notice and Richard who was a great help to me when he wasn't competing himself. It was a lovely weekend and it was a wonderful experience to be apart of the team. :-)

Well done to you all in creating this great site! We, the Huddersfield RDA group, had a website about 7 years ago but we were ripped off by the person who created it and daren't try again!

I'd love to see even more photos if you could squeeze them in!

As a parent of one of the riders who went to VALE VIEW Equestrian Centre in November, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to all the Otley team who gave up a weekend so our riders could have the chance of training with Angela Weiss and competing. It was probably one of the coldest weekends we had had so far and thanks must go to Mick who suffered torment when the horsebox was frozen solid and wouldn`t move early on Saturday morning. Despite the fact that riders arrived before horses it was a wonderful weekend. The support of everyone at Otley has to be experienced to believe, such dedicated and knowledgable people are a true inspiration and it is thanks to them that our riders achieved such wonderful results. Thanks must also go to Ann Everall who not only let us take one of the Acrecliffe horses but also came to help and support the riders. It goes without saying that Elaines dedication and hard work paid off and Crispin and Clyde were true stars.

What a lovely website didn't know they was an RDA group in Otley.
We was wondering wether you do Carriage Driving for the disabled as our Daughter who is disabled has her own carriage driving pony and we live in the Keighley.
It would be lovely to know if you do as it would be nice to go somewhere different to drive as we don't drive on the roads with our daughter and she likes to go outside and theres not so many places to go where its nice a quiet. If you could help us with any information on your group or any details that may be of help to us on where to go it would be most appreciated.

Right now we don't have the facilities for carriage driving but it is an area that we are actively considering. Currently, the nearest centres offering carriage driving are Stockeld Park in Harrogate, Leeds Area (LS15) and Middleton Park in S. Leeds.
