Our Grand Spring Ball, held to celebrate our twenty first birthday, was a huge success at Hollins Hall last Friday evening. There were ninety nine guests made up of past and present riders, helpers and their families, sponsors and members of other local RDA groups. One former helper brought her family from

. Charities Officer Carole Dickason had organised things brilliantly. Guests were met by instructor Tracy Lopez Moreno and Moira Wragge and given a complementary Bucks Fizz. During the three course meal, photos of the group were projected onto a wall. Afterwards there was a short presentation and speech by chairperson Judy Olby, an auction, a table magician who was reportedly both good and funny, and raffles. We hope to have raised enough money to hold a smaller event later in the year which will be more suitable for children so that even more of the group can celebrate our twenty one years.
